Clinic Journey — Before You Book

Before You Book

Before you land, it helps to know what is out there. Each concern below breaks down which treatments address it and why, so you walk into a consultation already knowing the right questions to ask.

Pores & Oil
Congestion, texture

Enlarged pores and excess oil rarely come from one cause, so the fix depends on which one is doing the damage. RF microneedling shrinks the oil gland itself, water-based peels clear out the debris sitting in the pore, and light-based therapy calms the gland activity that triggers breakouts.

PotenzaRF microneedling, shrinks oil glands, treats pores and scarring together
Aqua peelWater-jet exfoliation, clears debris sitting inside the pore
Geneo XOxygen bubbling plus ultrasound, pushes oil and buildup out
LDMLow-intensity ultrasound, calms inflammation and gland activity

Same treatment, different settings. Depth and intensity change with your skin thickness and how much oil you produce, so this gets decided at the consultation.

Firmness & Lifting
Sagging, jawline

Sagging has more than one layer, so lifting treatments target different depths. HIFU energy reaches the SMAS layer beneath the skin for a deep lift, RF energy tightens collagen in the dermis closer to the surface, and microwave energy works on the fat layer in between.

Ulthera, Shurink, DoubloHIFU devices, reach the SMAS layer for a deep, non-surgical lift
Thermage FLX, Inmode, OligioRF devices, tighten dermal collagen closer to the surface
Onda, Soprano TitaniumMicrowave and multi-wavelength devices, work on the subcutaneous fat layer

Deep sagging often needs more than one layer treated at once, which is why lifting is rarely one device alone.

Pigmentation
Melasma, redness

Not all discoloration is the same color problem. Pico lasers shatter pigment into fragments small enough for the body to clear, toning lasers even out tone across a wider area, and pulsed dye lasers target blood vessels instead of pigment for redness.

PicoSure, PicoWay, EnlightenPico lasers, shatter melasma and spots into fragments the body clears
Spectra, RevLiteToning lasers, even out tone across a wider area
V-beamPulsed dye laser, targets blood vessels for redness and flushing

Melasma and sun spots often need different laser settings even though both look like pigmentation at first glance.

Scars & Texture
Acne marks, bumps

Acne scars are not all the same shape underneath the skin, so treating them usually means combining more than one approach. RF microneedling remodels the dermis, fractional lasers resurface the top layer, and subcision releases the scar tissue pulling the skin down from below.

PotenzaRF microneedling, remodels the dermis under scars and enlarged pores
CO2 fractional laserResurfaces the top skin layer to smooth texture
SubcisionReleases the fibrous tissue anchoring a depressed scar
UltraClearCold ablation laser, resurfaces with less downtime than older CO2 lasers

Deep, pitted scars usually need subcision before a laser can smooth them out. The order matters as much as the device.

Wrinkles
Fine lines, folds

Wrinkles come from a mix of muscle movement and lost volume, so the fix is not always the same shot. Botulinum toxin relaxes the muscle causing the line, while skin boosters and biostimulators rebuild the collagen underneath it.

Botox, Nabota, Xeomin, Coretox, LiztoxBotulinum toxin brands, relax the muscle causing the wrinkle
RejuranSkin booster, adds moisture and encourages collagen from within
JuvelookBiostimulator, gradually rebuilds collagen over the following months
RadiesseCaHA filler, stimulates new collagen while adding immediate volume

A wrinkle from muscle movement and one from lost volume can sit side by side on the same face, and usually need different treatments to go away.

Contour
Volume, cheeks

Shaping the face is mostly about adding, not removing. Fillers restore volume exactly where placed, thread lifts reposition sagging tissue with tension, and fat-dissolving injections shrink stubborn pockets that do not respond to lifting.

Juvederm, Restylane, BeloteroHyaluronic acid fillers, restore volume in cheeks, jawline, or under the eyes
Thread liftDissolvable threads reposition sagging tissue for a subtler lift
Contour injectionsTargeted injections for jawline and cheek definition
Fat-dissolving injectionsBreak down stubborn fat pockets that lifting alone will not fix

More filler is not always the answer. Sometimes the actual problem is sagging, not lost volume, and the two need opposite treatments.

Body
Contouring, sweat

Body concerns split into two different problems. Some are about excess sweat or fat sitting in one spot, and others are about skin looseness after that spot is treated, so a body plan often layers more than one device.

Fat-dissolving injectionsTargeted injections for stubborn pockets on the body
Hyperhidrosis treatmentReduces excess sweating in the underarms, palms, or soles
Body lifting devicesInmode and Onda body versions tighten skin after fat is reduced
Calf treatmentsReduce calf bulk from muscle or fat depending on the cause

Whether the fix is fat, muscle, or loose skin changes the entire plan, so this is worth a real consultation rather than picking a treatment by name alone.

Wellness
Recovery, IV drip

Not everything here is about how your skin looks. Some of these support the body’s own recovery and immune response, which shows up in skin condition too.

IV vitamin drip therapyReplaces vitamins and minerals depleted by travel, stress, or poor sleep
Hyperbaric oxygen chamberIncreases oxygen delivery to tissue, often used alongside recovery from procedures
CarboxytherapyCO2 gas injections used for localized fat and circulation
Glutathione injectionsAntioxidant treatment marketed for skin brightening and detox support
NK cell activation programImmune-support program for people with low natural killer cell activity

These are wellness support, not skin treatments in the same sense as the categories above. Worth asking your clinic what evidence backs each one specifically.
